Hindi Diwas observed at ICAR RC for NEH.
Hindi Diwas is observed across the country in the month of September, ICAR RC for NEH also marked the occasion by organizing Hindi Week from 13th to 20th Sept 2019. The ceremony at the institute began with lighting the lamp by Dr. RG Laha, Director in-charge, in the presence of Scientists, officials and employees. Different types of competitions were organized. Hindi Poem Recitation, Debate competition, Handwriting competition, Antakshari Competition, Hindi Essay Writing, were part of the event. On 14th Sept 1949, the Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the Union. Addressing the gathering Chief Administrative Officer, Shri Krishna Kant Kulshrestha, said that the purpose of Hindi week is to spread knowledge and awareness about Hindi language.
